Summer Program and Athletic Clearance

Hello Players and Parents,

Girls Water Polo has a great Summer Program planned this year and practices will begin July 1, 2019.

I’d like to mention that in order to participate in Summer sports, each player will be required to provide a sports physical and be registered at AthleticClearance.com.  Our Athletics Department will be offering sports physicals for $40 this Saturday, June 1st. Flyer details are attached. This is an easy and convenient way to get this done.

* A physical must be done and cleared through the Athletics Department before you can start practice *

If you have any questions please do not hesitate to reach out!

Go Bears!

Message From Coach Cameron

Hello TVHS Water Polo,

Exciting news to announce, Empire Aquatics, has moved to Chaparral High School! This is great news for a few reasons. Starting off, the coach at Chaparral for all aquatics is the head coach at Empire, and there will be no more scheduling conflicts while using that site. Also, we have worked to schedule longer practices at more desirable practice times. We have more access to equipment there, and we believe we can offer stronger and more beneficial practices to our Empire athletes. Practices run Tuesdays and Wednesdays 5:15 to 7:00.    For the Spring Session (beginning Feb 26th-May 21st), the price will be $295 (tournaments/leagues not included). Empire is in the process of finding a new 3rd party merchant to process card payments through the website. Because of that, if you bring a check/cash to the banquet tonight, Empire is offering a $20 discount down to $275 for the session. A check, made out to Empire Aquatics, with your daughters first and last name on the memo line. We already have tournaments scheduled, the first one on March 17th in the Corona area.

As we look to continue to improve our entire TVHS program top to bottom, I believe it is imperative that our athletes are playing year round water polo together. ALL of the other local high programs are following the same path of year round water polo, and we want to ensure we aren’t falling behind other programs.

The coaches for the Empire women’s program will be myself, Cameron Campbell (3 years at TVHS, 1 year as head coach. 3 years as Empire Women’s Head Coach)….Adam Pearce assistant coach (1 year at TVHS coaching, current collegiate water polo player)… and Joshua Stone (10 years at Chaparral HS as the head coach for men’s and women’s water polo, and 7 years as the program head coach at Empire).

We are looking forward to working with your daughters! Our TVHS program is on an upswing, and the culture of year round commitment together is the only way we can further our progression!

Thanks,

Cameron Campbell
